The Upland Hills Website Needs Some Serious Help, And I'm Going to Supply It

The Facts

Upland Hills is a farm in Oxford Michigan. It offers an array of services and activities, including a summer camp for kids. The website is a mess, in terms of both content and design. For my semester project in Web Writing, I am going to rebuild this website from the ground up.

My Plan

"Rural Elegance"
Part One: First I will decide on a concept for the visual aesthetic. Pictured at right are two moodbards to desicrbe possible concepts.
  1. Rural Elegance: clean, minimal, window into nature
  2. Farm Carnival: playful, modern, colorful
Part Two: Next I will create a site map which will act as the framework for building the website.

Part Three: Finally, using both the chosen visual design and the site map, I will code and design a brand spanking new website for Upland Hills Farm, repurposing the content as I go.

In Conclusion

"Farm Carnival"
By the end of this semester, the Upland Hills website will be revitalized to be more beautiful, user friendly and to-the-point.

Nicely and straightforwardly done. Green light.

  2. Hooray! I do wish I had read the section in Yahoo Style Guide about writing good headlines, though.
